#SummitFoodFight Resumes in 2016-17

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Summit League Food Fight continues in 2016-17. A league-wide community service initiative by the Summit League Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), each school will be challenged to hold a food drive at designated games. At the end of the Food Fight schedule, the school that raises the most amount of food (measured in pounds) will be deemed the winner and will receive The Summit League Food Fight trophy.

Each school will have exactly one week per game that they are hosting to collect for the food drive (two weeks total). Any cash donations will be converted to pounds of food with $5 = 13 lbs. of food (or five meals to feed a hungry family).

This year each institution is challenged to collect the equivalent of at least 9,000 lbs. of food.
