TWO PIOS ON NHL TEAMS' RADAR HEADING INTO ENTRY DRAFT WEEKEND The DU Hockey program's 15-year streak of having a student-athlete selected at the NHL Entry Draft is poised to continue unabated this coming weekend in Chicago. Incoming freshmen Ian Mitchell (No. 35, North American Skaters) and Dayton Rasmussen (No. 6, North American Goalies) both appeared in the NHL Central Scouting Department's final prospect rankings of the season and performed well at the recent NHL Draft Combine in Buffalo.
June 19, 2017 M. Ice Hockey. PIONEERS MOURN THE PASSING OF JIMMY BROWN The DU Hockey Family was saddened to learn of the recent passing of alumnus Jimmy Brown at the age of 81. Brown skated at Denver from 1957-1959, recording 116 points (53G-63A) in 63 games played. The native Albertan led the Pioneers in scoring in each of his seasons with the program.

JESSE RUDER-HOOK WINS DENVER CITY OPEN Rising University of Denver senior Jesse Ruder-Hook won the Men's Open Singles Bracket of the 2017 Denver City Open this past weekend, defeating professional player and Squad Tennis co-founder Dor Amir in the championship match in straight sets by a score of 6-2, 6-3. In the tournament's semifinals, Ruder-Hook defeated his fellow DU student-athlete Wyatt Lovera by a score of 7-5, 7-6 (2).
June 15, 2017 Ski. Nat Knowles Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Former University of Denver student-athlete Nat Knowles (Class of 2016) has been awarded a prestigious Postgraduate Scholarship from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship was created in 1964 to promote and encourage graduate education by rewarding the Association's most accomplished student-athletes through their participation in NCAA championship and/or emerging sports.
