OU's Huth Named Chair of NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships Committee
Oakland Director of Athletics Tracy Huth has been named Chair of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, announced by the NCAA. Huth, who enters his 24th year as an administrator at OU, will serve a two-year term for the NCAA which began on Sept. 1.

"As a former collegiate swimmer and coach, the opportunity to stay involved with the sport is important to me on both a personal and professional level," said Huth. "I am pleased to serve as a member of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Committee. The time served has been rewarding, especially in terms of interacting with other committee members, NCAA staff, coaches and the student-athletes. It is an honor to now serve as Chair of this committee. It is an exciting, yet challenging time for the sport of swimming. My hope is to have a positive impact on the sport and, most importantly, contribute to a positive and lasting experience for the student-athlete participants."

The committee recommends qualifying standards for the championships, rules changes, edits to the championship handbook, championship format and future sites of the championship. He will also chair all the meetings and conference calls and liaison with the NCAA staff on matters related to swimming and diving.

Previously Huth served on the committee for the past two seasons, assisting with all of the aforementioned duties.
