NDSU's Thundar Makes Finals of Capital One Mascot Challenge

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State's mascot, Thundar, has made the finals of the Capital One Mascot Challenge and will face Cy from Iowa State to determine the Capital One Mascot of the Year.

Voting began Monday and ends Dec. 15 at 8:59 a.m. The winning mascot will be announced during the Capital One Bowl on ABC television Jan. 1. You can vote once a day at www.capitalonebowl.com.

Thundar was the top-ranked mascot through the regular-season voting and earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs. He defeated Testudo from the University of Maryland in the semifinals to clinch his berth in the final.
