Bobolts, Trevino, Gonzalez Earn Weekly Awards

Oral Roberts' Jose Trevino, Oakland's Kyle Bobolts and Oral Roberts' Alex Gonzalez

ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Kyle Bobolts and Oral Roberts' Jose Trevino were named Players of the Week and Oral Roberts' Alex Gonzalez earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the week May 14-20 as The Summit League announced its final baseball awards of the season.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Kyle Bobolts, Oakland
Jr., SS (Middleville, Mich./Thornapple Kellogg)
Bobolts captured his first career Player of the Week award after helping the Golden Grizzlies to a series win over SUU and secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming league tournament. The junior had at least one hit in all four games including two in the final three contests. In game three, the shortstop went 2-for-3 with the game-tying homer in the sixth inning and three RBI. He also added two RBI, including the game-winner, in the series finale. On the week, Bobolts batted .538 (7-for-13) with six RBI, two runs scored, two sacrifice flies, a triple and a home run.

Jose Trevino, Oral Roberts
Fr., 3B (Corpus Christi, Texas/John Paul II)
Trevino garnered his first career Player of the Week award after leading the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 series win over NDSU. The freshman broke the ORU school record with his 12^th home run of the season in game two of the series. In game one of the set, Trevino went 4-for-4 with three RBI and a homer, while adding two hits in the series finale. For the week, the third baseman batted .533 (8-for-15) with five RBI, four runs scored and two round-trippers. Trevino also had a walk and registered a .933 slugging percentage and .562 on-base percentage in the series.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Alex Gonzalez, Oral Roberts

Gonzalez earned his third Pitcher of the Week award this season and seventh of his career after tossing a complete game shutout against NDSU Saturday. The sophomore went eight innings and surrendered just three hits, all singles. He had eight strikeouts and allowed one walk to lower his ERA to 1.99 on the season. It was Gonzalez's second complete game shutout of the season and helped ORU clinch its 14^th-straight regular season title.
