TULSA, Okla. -- No. 4 South Dakota State fended off elimination with an 8-4 win over Western Illinois Thursday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa, Okla.

Entering the bottom of the seventh inning with a one-run lead (4-3), the Jackrabbits scored four runs in the bottom half of the inning to pull ahead 8-3 from four walks, two hits and one error.

It was a back and forth contest that featured four lead changes and one tie through the first three innings.

Western Illinois scratched across the first run of the game in the top of the first on a wild pitch. South Dakota State's Anthony Schneider and Tony Kjolsing belted back-to-back "Jacks" to open the bottom half of the inning.

The Leathernecks answered with a run in both the second and third innings, while the Jackrabbits answered with two of their own in the third.

Korey Kuhlmann (3-3) got the win in relief, while Derek Feige (1) earned the save. Ian Koch (4-6) suffered the loss for Western Illinois.

Turning Point
A four-run seventh inning for South Dakota State put the game out of reach for Western Illinois. The Jackrabbits got four runs on two hits, four walks and one error to go ahead 8-3.

TULSA, Okla. – A five-run seventh inning propelled top-seeded Oral Roberts to a 6-4 win over No. 3 North Dakota State Thursday night at J.L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa, Okla.

Oral Roberts sent 10 batters to the plate in the seventh inning and had three singles, a double, two walks and one error for its five runs.

The Golden Eagles took an early lead on a solo home run by Noah Cummings, his second of the tournament, in the first inning.

North Dakota State answered back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. After a single and pair of walks, Carter Thompson hit a bases-clearing double down the left field line to put the Bison up 3-1.

Starting pitchers Justin McGregor of ORU and NDSU's Riley Johnson settled in after the first inning.

Golden Eagle relievers Taylor Varnell and Kyler Stout shut down the Bison, including Stout striking-out the side in the bottom of the ninth for his league-leading 14th save of the season.

McGregor (6-1) earned the win with Kevin Folman (4-4) suffering the loss.

Turning Point
Down 4-1 entering the top of the seventh inning, Oral Roberts tallied five runs to take a 6-4 lead. The Golden Eagles sent 10 batters to the plate and had four hits, two walks and one error for their five runs.
