TULSA, Okla. (oruathletics.com) – As a No. 4 seed, the Oral Roberts baseball team's #RoadToOmaha begins in Fayetteville, Ark., for the 2018 NCAA Baseball Championship June 1-4 as announced by the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship Selection Show on ESPNU Monday. ORU (131 RPI) joins No. 1 Arkansas (3 RPI), No. 2 Southern Miss (45 RPI) and No. 3 Dallas Baptist (36 RPI) at the double-elimination event hosted by the University of Arkansas at Baum Stadium.
By way of winning their 19th-consecutive Summit League Championship, the Golden Eagles (38-18 overall) earned an automatic bid into the field of 64. They will face the top-seeded Razorbacks in game one Friday, June 1 at 2 p.m. live on WatchESPN.
ORU is making its 28th appearance in a NCAA Regional with an all-time record of 34-50, and traveling to Fayetteville for the second-straight year and thrid in program history. The Golden Eagles won the 2006 regional at Arkansas and hold a 4-2 record in postseason games at Baum Stadium with a win over Oklahoma State in 2017.
