SDSU's Braeden Brown delivered a 10th-inning, walk-off single to lead the Jacks to a series win over NDSU last weekend.

WEEKLY NOTEBOOK: Vol. 10 (April 18)

• Oral Roberts snapped Omaha's 12-game Summit League winning streak with a walk-off win in the opener and went to win the series thanks to a 10-7 victory in the rubber match. In the finale, centerfielder Blake Hall went 5-for-5 with a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, and finished with six RBI to punctuate his Hitter of the Week resume. Hall is now batting .500 (20-for-40) in his 10 Summit League games.
• The Mavericks picked up the win in game two behind another stellar mound-performance from Payton Kinney, who equaled his season high with 11 strikeouts and yielded only one run on eight hits in eight innings of work. The effort earned him his third SL weekly pitching honor of the season as he improved to 7-0 on the season (1.20 ERA).
• Omaha's Parker Smejkal continues to pace the league in hitting among qualified players in both overall (.378) and league (.465) games. North Dakota State's Charley Hesse is the only other qualified player batting over .400 in league play as he carries a .422 average into a weekend series against Oral Roberts.
• South Dakota State picked up a series win over North Dakota State thanks to a wild 10-9 victory in 10 innings in game No. 3. Braeden Brown drove in the game-winning run, capping a three-run 10th that saw the Jacks respond after the Bison took a 9-7 lead in the top half of the inning. Brown finished 4-for-6 with three RBI in the victory.
• SDSU first baseman Josh Falk forced extra innings with a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth. He shares the league lead with five homers in SL play. Western Illinois' Drue Galassi also has five to go with a league-leading 22 RBI.
• The Bison have won three straight Summit League starts by Max Loven and the righthander has yielded three earned runs or less in all five of his league outings. He picked up his first win of the season in game two of the SDSU series and now owns a 2.61 ERA.
• Western Illinois picked up its second consecutive series sweep and moved over .500 in league play thanks to taking all three games against Purdue Fort Wayne. The Leathernecks will look to carry that momentum into a weekend road series at SDSU.
• Righthander Javin Drake increased his league-leading strikeout total to 71 after pitching another gem in game two. He improved to 4-3 on the season after fanning 10 in seven innings of scoreless work against the Mastodons.
• Purdue Fort Wayne third baseman Trenton Stoner hit safely in all three games and carries a five-game hitting streak into a series with league-leading Omaha this weekend. Stoner tops the Mastodons with a .292 batting average.
