TULSA, Okla. – Summit League Player of the Year Spencer Henson hit a pair of solo home runs and picked up the save to lead No. 3 seed Oral Roberts to a 5-2 victory over No. 2 South Dakota State Thursday in game two of the 2019 #SummitBSB Championship.

Both teams stranded multiple runners in their opening at-bats but neither could manage a run. That quickly changed in the second as South Dakota State's Derek Hackman sent a two-run shot over the left field wall to put the Jacks ahead 2-0.

Oral Roberts would draw even with solo shots by Henson in the top of the third and Isaac Coffey in the top of the fourth.

Henson would give his squad its first lead of the game at 3-2 after sending Olmstead's first pitch of the fourth over the wall in center field.

ORU starter Josh McMinn settled in after the Hackman longball and did not allow another tally over the rest of his 8-inning appearance. He finished with 10 punchouts and his seventh victory of the season.

South Dakota State starter Tyler Olmstead worked into the seventh inning, but the Golden Eagles would push across a pair of insurance runs during the frame after Riley Keizor drew a bases-loaded walk and Andrew Pace added a sacrifice fly.

After a pair of Jacks reached base off Hunter Swift in the ninth, Henson came in from first base and got Gus Steiger to groundout unassisted to third base to end the contest.
