SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota sophomore Stanley Umude was named the #SummitMBB Player of the Week by league officials Monday after leading the Coyotes to win over previously unbeaten Purdue Fort Wayne.

Umude played all 40 minutes in USD's 87-73 victory over the Mastodons, who saw a six-game winning stream come to an end in Vermillion. Umude scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the second half, helping the Yotes erase a five-point halftime deficit.

His jumper with just under five minutes to play, pushed USD's lead to four and sparked a 16-4 game-closing run that put the game way. He finished 11-for-18 from the field and added seven rebounds and four assists in the victory that pulled USD's league record even at 2-2.
