SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League's 2019 Basketball Media Day will be housed in the league's brand new office on the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls.

The one-day, in-person event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 with coaches from all nine programs on the men's and women's side scheduled to participate.

Midco Sports Network will once again provide extensive coverage of the proceedings, capped by a two-hour recap show that will air from 7-9 p.m. CT.

"We're excited to bring our coaches together once again for this in-person event," said Summit League Commissioner Tom Douple. "After a year in Sioux Falls, we have moved into our newly-constructed offices and these were designed to host events like our Basketball Media Day, so we're thrilled to get the chance to show off our new space and for our coaches to showcase their programs and share with our media what's in store for the upcoming basketball season as well."

Each program's coach will be provided with a 10-15 minute segment with the MidcoSN broadcast crew to preview their teams. They will also have a similar amount of time with local media in a press conference setting that will be streamed on Facebook Live. Coaches will be made available for brief one-on-one interviews with other media entities upon request following their allotted time. Segments recorded with the coaches will also be packaged for social distribution on Summit League and MidcoSN platforms throughout the month of October leading up to the regular season.

Summit League basketball fans will once again get the chance to engage with the coaches via social media as the "Ask Your Coach Campaign" will launch next week. Fans will be able to submit questions about the upcoming season via social media and, if selected, their questions could wind up being asked during the coverage of the event with a chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2020 Summit League Basketball Championships in Sioux Falls.

MidcoSN will once again bring live coverage of that event, which is scheduled from March 7-10 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls. The regional sports network will provide coverage of all eight quarterfinals and all four semifinals throughout the men's and women's tournaments.
