SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota's Tyler Hagedorn was named the #SummitMBB Player of the Week Monday after a remarkable two-game stretch that saw him not miss from 3-point range and set a Summit League single-game record in the process.

Hagedorn, who missed all of last season with a foot injury, started the week by helping the Coyotes capture the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, scoring a team-high 23 points in last Monday's 85-82 victory over Florida A&M. He went 3-for-3 from 3-point range in the Coyotes' third victory on the island and was named to The Classic's All-Tournament Team after averaging 17.0 ppg.

The Norfolk, Neb., native remained hot from beyond the arc Friday in USD's home opener and did so in record-setting fashion. The 6-foot-10 forward established a new Summit League single-game record by burying all eight of his 3-point attempts as the Coyotes beat Texas Southern 88-69.

Hagedorn finished with a career-high 33 points and also added a game-high eight rebounds to give South Dakota its first 4-0 start since the 2016-17 season. The league's previous single-game record was a 7-for-7 effort accomplished twice and last by Southern Utah's Dave Marek in 2009.

For the week, Hagedorn averaged 28.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and went 11-for-11 beyond the arc. He also added five assists and three blocks in the two wins.
