The Summit League earned four points against a pair of Top 25 programs on Sunday. The day was highlighted by Omaha's 5-1 win over No. 8 Virginia Tech, while Oral Roberts earned a draw against No. 25 Wisconsin.
Fort Wayne also earned a win against Atlantic 10 opponent Dayton (2-1), while Eastern Illinois earned its second consecutive double overtime draw vs. Milwaukee (1-1).
Omaha 5,  Virginia Tech 1
OMAHA, Neb. (omavs.com) -- Elvir Ibisevic scored three goals in a span of 10:01 in the first half to lead Omaha to a 5-1 victory over No. 17 Virginia Tech Sunday evening at Caniglia Field.
Xavier Gomez and Emmanuel Hamzat also found the back of the net for the Mavericks (2-0), who opened the season with two straight wins.
Ethan Bowman sent a ball down the right side to set up Ibisevic' s first goal. He received the pass and then cut to the top of the box before sending the shot into the right side of the goal. Two minutes later, Ibisevic outjumped a pair of Hokie defenders and nodded home his second score of the game. Ibisevic converted a penalty kick following a foul in the box to put Omaha ahead 3-0 less than 15 minutes into the match. Xavier Gomez made it 4-0 in the 24th minute off a pass from Miguel Gomez.
Oral Roberts 2,  Wisconsin 1 (2OT)
TULSA, Okla. (oruathletics.com) -- The Oral Roberts men's soccer team and No. 25 Wisconsin battled to a 1-1 draw Sunday evening at the Case Soccer Complex.
Wisconsin came out of the gate aggressive and the Badgers scored their lone goal of the game early in the 13th minute. Mike Catalano gathered a pass from the right side by Mark Segbers and connected with the back of the net from the middle of the goalie box. Segbers was credited with the assist.
The Golden Eagles tied the game in the second half when senior midfielder, Santiago Riveros, scored his first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 77th minute.
Fort Wayne 2, Dayton 1
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (gomastodons.com) -- Romain Lopez curved a shot into the upper right corner of the goal in the 80th minute to give Fort Wayne a 2-1 win over Dayton on Sunday (Aug. 27) afternoon at the Hefner Soccer Complex. It is the first win for Fort Wayne in program history over Dayton. The 'Dons were winless in four previous meetings with the Atlantic 10 member Flyers.
Lopez' goal was assisted by Carmelo Morales and Zach Tom. It broke a 1-1 tie following a goal by Dayton's Trey Marchino in the 49th minute.
The only goal of the first half came off the foot of Jan Schumacher. In the 33rd minute he finished from in close for his first goal as a Mastodon. The tally was assisted by Alex Joneson and Will Hunt.
