Drake’s Hands Named #SummitMTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Drake's Tom Hands was named Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance Feb. 13-19.

  • Garnered his first career Summit League Player of the Week award
  • Recorded a pair of singles win and went 3-0 in doubles play during the week
  • Defeated Denver's Eric Morris (6-3, 7-6) at No. 2 singles and teamed for a 7-6 doubles win to lead Drake to a 5-2 league victory
  • Bested George Washington's Chris Fletcher (2 and 4) at No. 1 singles
  • Combined for a 6-0 win over GWU and a 6-1 triumph over UAB at No. 3 doubles
  • Owns a 9-2 singles record and 9-4 doubles mark on the season
