Tulsa, Okla. –Top-seeded Denver claimed its spot in The Summit League Men's Tennis Championship match after defeating No. 4 Oral Roberts Friday evening at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.

No. 4 Oral Roberts started the match by taking a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches, but the Golden Eagles didn't hold it for long.

The Pioneers picked up pace in singles and tied the score 1-1 after Denver's No. 3 James Davis overcame Andre Russo 6-0, 6-1. Davis' teammate Mattia Ros claimed the 2-1 lead for Denver after beating Barnabas Koncz 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot.

Denver's Pedro Fernandez Del Valle extended the lead 3-1 with his victory at the No. 4 position, while Ignatius Castelino would clinch a spot in the championship match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nikola Boskov in the No. 5 spot.

Drake advanced to its second-consecutive Men's Summit League Tennis Championship after defeating No. 3 Valparaiso 4-1 Friday evening. 

Valparaiso started the match by taking a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches.

In singles play, Drake bounced back and took a 2-1 advantage over Valparaiso after Vinny Gillespie captured a victory over Brandon Ancona 6-4, 6-3 in the top spot of the lineup and Finley Hall defeated Gabriel Carvajal 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 6 spot.

The Bulldogs pushed their lead 3-1 with a win from Bavo Philips in the No. 3 and would clinch the match after Ben Clark beat Daniel Langston 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 5 position.
