Fresh off its Summit League Championship win, the Drake University men's tennis team will face California in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Friday May 3, in Champaign, Ill.
  
Drake is making its third-straight NCAA appearance and 12th in program history after claiming the Summit League Championship with a 4-3 win over Denver.
 
The trip to Champaign marks the eighth time the Bulldogs have competed in the NCAA Tournament at the University of Illinois. Drake and California have never met just once before with the Bears earning a 5-1 win in 1990.

Host Illinois will face Western Michigam in the other match Friday in Champaign.
