South Dakota State’s Albu, Omaha’s Hutt Named Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Phil Albu and Omaha's Maddie Hutt were named The Summit League's Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week, for their performances Jan. 29-Feb. 4.
MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Phil Albu, South Dakota State
Jr. // Charlie Lake, British Columbia
Albu earns his first career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honor after helping the Jackrabbits finish undefeated (7-0) in dual meets this season. In a 130-75 win over Iowa Central, he won the 50 back (24.66) and was a part of the winning 200 medley relay squad (1:36.65). He then won the 100 back (52.45), 200 back (1:54.53) and 400 medley relay (3:31.24) to help SDSU defeat North Dakota, 180-120.

Maddie Hutt, Omaha

Hutt captures her first career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week award after two individual first-place finishes against Northern Colorado. She won the 100 breast (1:05.66) and 200 breast (2:20.13) and was a member of the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:50.51).
