Multiple Swimming and Diving programs earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected seven men's and women's swimming and diving programs from The Summit League to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2018 semester.

Denver, South Dakota and Eastern Illinois all earned Scholar All-America Team honors on both the men's and women's side while South Dakota State earned the honor on the women's side. The Denver women led the League in team GPA with an impressive 3.61 GPA.

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.

 

Men's Scholar All-America Teams:

Denver – 3.15 Team GPA

South Dakota – 3.11 Team GPA

Eastern Illinois – 3.17 Team GPA

 

Women's Scholar All-America Teams:

Denver – 3.61 Team GPA

South Dakota – 3.37 Team GPA

South Dakota State – 3.34 Team GPA

Eastern Illinois – 3.44 Team GPA
