INDIANAPOLIS -- (iupuijags.com) A 15-1 run to start the second half fueled by Nicole Rogers and Dee-Dee Bellamy led the IUPUI women's basketball team to a 80-58 win over Belmont in its season-opener Saturday afternoon at The Jungle.
Rogers and Bellamy scored 16 of their combined 21 points in the second half, and Rogers led the squad with 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three. Mikale Rogers added 13 points in her first career game, while Nevena Markovic chipped in 11 points helping the Jags outscore Belmont 40-21 in bench scoring.
