Weekly Notebook 16 W/ Stats

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League members have between three and four games left and teams are beginning to punch their tickets into the basketball championship. With a highly anticipated matchup on Sunday, all eyes will be on Brookings as No. 23/23 South Dakota and South Dakota State square off in a game that could decide The Summit League regular season champion.

The Opening Tip

South Dakota State's junior forward Tagyn Larson helped lead the Jackrabbits to two wins last week. Larson set a South Dakota State school record for field goal percentage in a game with a perfect percentage after going 11-for-11 from the field and 5-for-5 from three against Omaha. She became one of just six Summit League players to post a perfect shooting percentage in a game with at least 10 makes and only the fourth to do it in a league game. Her steller weekend helped lead the Jackrabbits to a 2-0 weekend record and remain on top of The Summit League standings.

Nationally Ranked

The University of South Dakota jumped two spots to No. 23 in both the AP and USA Today/WBCA Top 25 Polls.
