SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Macy Miller recorded her second-straight double-double as the South Dakota State women's basketball team recorded a 76-65 win Saturday over Quinnipiac in the NCAA Tournament's first round action at the Carrier Dome.

The Jackrabbits, the No. 6 seed in the Portland Region, will play the winner of the No. 3 Syracuse/No. 14 Fordham game Monday at the Carrier Dome. The second-round game will be South Dakota State's third game in program history and second in four years.

Miller recorded game-high totals of 28 points and a career-tying 11 rebounds as the Jackrabbits won their 17th-straight game and improved to 27-6. Myah Selland added 16 points and nine rebounds while Madison Guebert chipped in 11 points, marking the 30th time at least three players have scored in double figures this season.

Quinnipiac, which saw its 21-game win streak snapped, was led by Jen Fay's 25 points.

The Bobcats led 4-0 before Miller got the Jackrabbits on the scoreboard. South Dakota State later used a 6-0 run midway in the first quarter to take a 19-15 lead. Tagyn Larson sank a 3-point field goal to give State a 22-18 lead. Miller (7) and Selland (6) combined for 13 points in the first 10 minutes.

A fast-break basket by Tylee Irwin gave South Dakota State a 34-24 lead with 4:29 to play in the half. A Guebert 3-point field goal gave the Jackrabbits a 39-25 lead, their largest, with 3:06 remaining. The Jacks led 41-30 at halftime.

Quinnipiac eventually cut the lead to three, 64-61, but Irwin sank two free throws at 2:27 to put the lead to five, 66-61. Irwin's free throws were part of a stretch that saw the Jacks close the game by making 17-of-18 free throws.

South Dakota State had a 49-34 edge in rebounds, giving the Jackrabbits a 20-0 record when outrebounding their opponents.

Miller set school single-game records for points, rebounds, free throws made (10) and free throws attempted (12) in the Jackrabbits' NCAA Tournament games.
