SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2018-19 Summit League Women's Golf award winners were announced Wednesday recognizing the best individual, newcomer, and coach during the season.

Denver's Mary Weinstein became the first player since Oral Roberts' Candice Satow in 2003 to earn Golfer of the Year accolades a year after being named the League's Newcomer of the Year. Weinstein captured Championship MVP honors with a record-tying score of 217 (+1) in late April and led the league with a 72.8 stroke average, which was the second lowest single-season mark in DU history. She also owned a league-best seven top-10 finishes during her junior season.

Oral Roberts' Sarah Bell was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year after registering the third-best stroke average in the league at 73.7. Bell turned in six top-10 finishes during her rookie season, including a third-place finish at The Summit League Championship, which helped the Golden Eagles secure a runner-up finish.

Weinstein's head coach, Lindsay Kuhle, racked up her fifth Coach of the Year honor in six seasons as a league member and sixth overall (WAC; 2013) since taking over the DU program prior to the 2012-13 season. Kuhle led the Pioneers back to the winner's circle at the 2019 Championship, besting the nine-team field by 27 strokes in Newton, Kan., to advance to their 18th-straight NCAA Regional and seventh in a row under her guidance.

All three awards were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
