    All nine women's soccer teams in The Summit League have final tune-ups in non-conference play before league action commences next week. The North Dakota State Bison are enjoying their final non-conference stretch off Mainland U.S.A. with a couple of matches in Hawaii. Omaha and Oral Roberts will get Summit League action underway next Thursday with a match in Tulsa at 4 p.m. 
  • Moller nets second offensive honor, Smither collects defensive award

    For the second time this season, North Dakota forward Katie Moller captured The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week accolade, while Jackrabbit goalkeeper Maggie Smither captured her first defensive honor of the season and third of her career.

    With five more shutouts last week, Summit League teams have now combined for 22 just under a month into the season. That already puts the teams within nine of the total amount of 31 from the 2017 season. All nine teams will get the chance to add to that figure, but a majority of the matches slated for this week will not be played in friendly confines.

    For the second consecutive week, a pair of first-timers garnered The Summit League Women’s Soccer Player of the Week accolades. Denver midfielder Meg Halvorson collected the offensive accolade, while North Dakota goalkeeper Olivia Swenson secured the defensive honor.

    Summit League teams are a combined 12-13-5 through the opening two weeks of the season, which is a nearly 10-game improvement from a 5-23-1 mark the teams combined for during the same stretch of 2017. All nine teams will look to improve upon that record this weekend.
  • Manuleleua, Rytz pick up Player of the Week accolades

    South Dakota State forward Leah Manuleleua put together an eight-point weekend to collect Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honors, while South Dakota goalkeeper Parker Rytz was named the Defensive Player of the Week after helping head coach Michael Thomas pick up his first victory for the Coyotes.

    North Dakota forward Katie Moller garnered The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor in her first attempt after the Fighting Hawks opened a new era with back-to-back road wins at Nicholls State and Southern, while Oral Roberts goalkeeper Ryliegh Bohnenstiehl captured Defensive Player of the Week accolades after helping lead the Golden Eagles to the UTRGV Tournament title with a pair of 1-0 victories.
