KANSAS CITY, MO. --
Five Summit League student-athletes were among the 44 women's soccer players selected to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-West Region Teams announced by organization officials this week. Co-regular season champions Denver and South Dakota State each had a pair of players recognized, while South Dakota had one named all-region.

Representing the tournament champion Pioneers were junior midfielder Hannah Adler and freshman forward Samantha Feller. Adler, who has been an All-Summit League performer each of her three collegiate seasons, landed on the second team after sharing the league-lead in game-winning goals with four, while Feller was named to the third team. Feller, who was named The Summit League Freshman of the Year, led the Pioneers with 18 points and topped all league players with 14 points in Summit League action.

South Dakota State defender Annie Williams and goalkeeper Maggie Smither were both named to the second team after anchoring the top defensive unit in the league. Williams was named the Defensive Player of the Year, while Smither collected Goalkeeper of the Year accolades after their unit surrendered only three goals in eight league matches.

South Dakota's Tayrn Labree rounded out The Summit League's quintet of honorees by being named to the third team. Labree was a first-team All-Summit League honoree following the 2018 season. She finished the campaign with a team-high six goals and three assists for the Coyotes.
