SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota State women's soccer team picked up a trio of wins last week and added a pair of Summit League weekly individual honors as well. Senior forward Leah Manuleleua earned the offensive honor after scoring three game-winning goals in three matches and senior goalkeeper Maggie Smither secured the defensive honor after recording shutouts in those three victories.

For Manuleleua, the weekly accolade is the fourth of her career after scoring the game-winning and lone goals against Hawai'i, Eastern Washington and Minnesota. The victory over the Gophers was the first in program history and first power-five win since 2014.

With her three game-winning goals, Manuleleua is now second in program history with nine and tied for ninth in goals in three seasons with the Jackrabbits. Moreover, Manuleleua has scored game-winning goals in all five wins for South Dakota State this season.

Smither tallied her fifth-career weekly accolade and was highlighted by her 10 saves against Eastern Washington, which was her second career double-digit save performance. Smither now stands alone with 23 shutouts for first place in the Jackrabbits' record books.
