SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – During a week that saw a combined seven shutouts, two standout goalkeepers in North Dakota's Catherine Klein and South Dakota State's Maggie Smither shared the Defensive Player of the Week award, while Denver midfielder Natalie Beckman was named the Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Beckman scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 triumph over Western Illinois. The Denver, Colo., native recorded the game-winning goal in the 27th-minute, then added an insurance goal 10 minutes later. Beckham also notched an assist with 81 seconds left in regulation.

Smither posted her ninth and 10th shutout of the season in wins over Oral Roberts and Omaha, extending the Jackrabbits' winning streak to nine games, which is tied for the second-longest streak in program history. With the wins, Smither and the Jacks broke the school's consecutive shutout record at nine matches. She finished the week with nine saves.

Klein recorded a combined six saves and two shutouts at Purdue Fort Wayne and Western Illinois, helping the Fighting Hawks to a 3-1 league record. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native became UND's all-time shutouts leader with 14 career shutouts.
