SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –South Dakota State continues to make a statement in The Summit League, as they have won nine-straight matches and have been led by senior goalkeeper Maggie Smither, who has held opponents scoreless during the win streak. The Jackrabbits are one win away from tying a program-record of 10-straight wins as they host Western Illinois (6-7-1, 2-2) on Friday at 6 p.m. CT.

• South Dakota State and Denver remain the lone unbeaten teams in league play heading into the third week of #SummitWSOC action.
• SDSU senior goalkeeper Maggie Smither is tied for first in the nation in shutouts with 10 and was recently named the league's Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

• North Dakota made a significant leap in the league standings as the Fighting Hawks bumped up to the second spot after 1-0 wins against Purdue Fort Wayne and WIU.
• Senior goalkeeper Catherine Klein became the Fighting Hawks' career-leader in shutouts on Sunday against the Leathernecks as she earned her 14th clean sheet and was, subsequently, named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
• Western Illinois' four-match win streak came to an end after its loss at Denver. The Leathernecks are one of two teams to reach the halfway point of league play.
• Oral Roberts wrapped up its four-match homestand going 0-2-2 and four of its final five league matches are on the road.
• Omaha fell to SDSU, 2-0, and the two goals allowed snapped an 11-match string where the Maverick defense only allowed one goal or less.
• South Dakota closed out its four-match road swing with a 1-0 win at Purdue Fort Wayne, which was the Coyotes' sixth-straight win against the Mastodons.
• The Coyotes will play a pivotal match on Sunday as they host Denver.
• In Purdue Fort Wayne's 1-0 loss against North Dakota on Oct. 10, goalkeeper Lorah Pund recorded a career-high 13 saves.
