South Dakota’s Willer, ORU’s Austin Notch #SummitWSOC Weekly Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A pair of first-time recipients that kept their teams in the hunt for the #SummitWSOC Championships earned the latest Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors. South Dakota forward Kellee Willer earned the offensive award while Oral Roberts goalkeeper Allison Austin garnered the defensive accolade.

Willer helped the Coyotes to a 1-0-1 record last week, as she recorded her first-multi goal match of the season in a 4-2 win against Omaha. Her second goal of the match proved to be the game-winner, as the multi-goal effort was the third of her career. The Fort Collins, Colo., native added her weekly total by attempting two shots with one shot on goal in a 1-1 double-overtime draw against South Dakota State.

Austin recorded her second-career shutout while racking up seven saves in a 1-0 double-overtime win at Western Illinois. The true freshman tallied four key saves in the final 10-minutes of regulation to force overtime.
