SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha's Sydney Case and South Dakota's Anne Rasmussen were named The Summit League Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, after helping each of their teams win home tournaments this past weekend.

Case earns her first career offensive player of the week honor after guiding the Mavericks to their first 3-0 home tournament record since 2009. She was named to the all-tournament team following an overall performance that included 151 assists and a 13.73 assists per set average on the weekend. Case also ended the weekend with six kills, three service aces and 24 digs.

Rasmussen secured her first award of the season and fifth of her career after tallying 65 digs and a 5.91 digs per set average at the South Dakota Classic. Her performance this weekend earned her a spot on the all-tournament team and helped notch a win over the Pac-12's California in a hard-fought, four-set match. Rasmussen's stat line also included nine assists and three service aces.

  • Garnered her first career offensive player of the week accolade
  • Tallied 50 assists and eight digs on a .400 hitting percentage in the 3-1 win over Kansas City
  • Recorded a career-high 57 assists and 10 digs for her first career double-double in the victory over UIC

  • Earned her fifth career defensive player of the week honor
  • Paced the four-team South Dakota Classic with her 5.91 digs per set average
  • Leads the league in total digs (114) and digs per set (5.18)
