SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – There is another full weekend of volleyball ahead for The Summit League members, including match ups between the top-four teams in the standings. Friday brings a match between South Dakota and Denver, two teams undefeated in league play, and North Dakota against Omaha. North Dakota has only suffered one loss in regular season play, while Omaha remains undefeated. Action around the league begins at 6 p.m.

Around The League

  • Oral Roberts looks to capture its first league victory this weekend with matches against Purdue Fort Wayne and Western Illinois on the docket. ORU currently holds the fourth-place spot in the league in digs (1,058) and sits second in digs per set (17.06). Tori Roe helps the Golden Eagles on the defensive end and sits third in the league in total digs (305).
  • Maverick newcomer Sydney Case continues to make a presence known as she leads the league in assists per set (11.36). Isabella Sade, Anna Blaschko and Claire Mountjoy also sit near the top of the rankings in the league. Sade places third in hitting percentage (.343) while Blaschko sits fifth in blocks per set (1.02) and Mountjoy comes in fifth in digs per set (3.90).
  • Western Illinois hosts a pair of matches this weekend for the first time since the start of league action. The Leathernecks look to capture their first league victory against North Dakota State Friday and Oral Roberts Sunday.
  • South Dakota leads the league and sits 13th nationally in digs per set (17.88). Anne Rasmussen spearheads the defense for the Coyotes as she leads the league in digs per set (5.30) and sits second in total digs (318). Offensively, Hayley Dotseth and Taylor Wilson lead the pack as Dotseth is second in the league in kills per set (3.90), third in total kills (234) and fifth in service aces (.32), while Wilson sits second in hitting percentage (.364).
  • Denver continues to remain in the national rankings as the Pioneers currently lead the NCAA in aces per set (2.11). DU is also ranked 11th in hitting percentage (.283) and 18th in kills per set (14.09). Individually, Lydia Bartalo remains in the rankings as she sits fourth with her .65 aces per set, which also leads the league. Becca Latham tops the category of hitting percentage in the league with a .366 average clip. 
  • The Fighting Hawks head into the weekend after a perfect week in league action. Two-time defensive player of the week Taliyah Flores leads the league in total digs (351) and sits third in digs per set (4.62). North Dakota leads the league in three categories: total digs (1294), solo blocks (38) and total blocks (156), while sitting second in total assists (887) and third in service aces (92)
  • North Dakota State will be on the road this weekend looking to earn its first road league victories against Western Illinois Friday and Purdue Fort Wayne Saturday. The Bison are a force to be reckoned with at the net sitting second in the league for solo blocks (36) and fourth in blocks per set (1.96).
  • South Dakota State's Payton Richardson sits atop the league in blocks per set (1.21) as Makenzie Hennen places third in kills per set (3.42) and Maddie Fay places fifth in assists per set (9.64). As a team, the Jackrabbits place fourth in service aces (86) and third in service aces per set (1.46).
  • The Mastodons look to jump back from two-straight road losses as they host a pair of matches against Oral Roberts and North Dakota State this weekend. Nicole Rightnowar leads the league currently in total kills (280) and kills per set (4.00) and as a team, the Mastodons lead the league in total kills (968) and total assists (908).
