NDSU’s Skime Garners #SummitXC Men’s Athlete of the Week Award

ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State's Brendan Skime was named Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his performance from Sept. 22-28.

  • Received first career Summit League Athlete of the Week honor
  • Posted a league-best 8k time of 24:34.7 to lead North Dakota State at Stanford Invitational
  • Time also marked a personal best and was fastest by a Bison runner at Stanford in three years
  • Helped NDSU finish seventh at meet in a field that included No. 2 Stanford and three regionally-ranked teams

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of over 120,000 at nine institutions, including four located in top 60 U.S. metro populations and two land-grant universities.
