IUPUI’s Murphy Named #SummitXC Men’s Athlete of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Robert Murphy earned Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week of Oct. 11-17.

Sr.  // Warsaw, Ind.

  • Collected his fifth career Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor and fourth of the season, tying for the second-highest single season total in league history
  • Ran a personal-best and league-best time of 24:23.6 at the ISU Invitational for the second-fastest 8k time in school history
  • Finished 19 in a field that included a nationally-elite field that included 16 ranked teams
  • Helped team to a 26th place finish in a field of the fastest teams, placing ahead of a pair of Big Ten squads and a Pac-12 school
