Get to Know Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a fall Q&A feature profiling Summit League SAAC representatives. These SAAC representatives provide a glimpse into their personal life away from their sport and what it is like being a student-athlete.

In this week's installment, a senior pitcher on the Fort Wayne baseball team, Damian Helm, is profiled.

What is your favorite vacation spot?  Myrtle Beach, S.C.

What is currently on your music play list? A little bit of everything, country, rap and pop

What is your funniest memory from youth sports? Playing on a YMCA basketball team when I was 2nd grade and winning each game by 20 points.

Which actor/actress would play you in a movie? Miles Teller

What do you remember about your first college competition? We won our opening series against Alabama A&M.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up?  LeBron James

Who is your favorite professional sports team? Chicago Cubs

What are three things in life you couldn't live without? Family, friends, and sports.

Which three people would you want to have dinner with (current or historical)? Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, and Tom Brady.

What is your favorite television show or movie? The television shows Game of Thrones and The Office.

What is the best advice you've ever received? Every day is a good day for a good day.

What attracted you to your institution? Location to home, ability to get an Indiana University degree while competing at the highest level of college athletics.

What community service projects/organizations are you involved with outside of athletics? Our team volunteers with youth baseball organizations in Fort Wayne which has been a great experience.

What has been your most memorable moment as a student-athlete? Playing against Louisville this past spring and watching the basketball team beat IU at home in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete? Staying positive in every situation, no matter what happens and learning a lesson from each experience, whether it's in sports or in the classroom.

What is your favorite spot on campus? The rec center to play basketball.

What is your dream job/career? Running a professional sports franchise.

Your most prized possession is? My friends and family.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Somewhere on a golf course where I could play year round.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Be able to teleport wherever I wanted at any time.
