WIU's Wisner, ORU's Gurley Named Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Wisner
picks up Offensive Player of the Week honors after helping Western
Illinois to two 3-0 conference victories last week. She had three
goals in the two matches on only seven shots, with one goal coming
against Southern Utah and the other two at IPFW. Coming into the
week, Wisner only had one goal on the season and with her six
points last week, she now has eight. She is tied for fourth in The
Summit League with her four goals.

Gurley
earns her second Defensive Player of the Week award of the season
after leading the Golden Eagles to three 1-0 shutout victories over
Tulsa, Missouri State and Centenary. With her three shutouts,
Gurley is now tied as ORU's all-time leader with 17 and leads the
conference with five this year. Gurley lowered her goals against
average from 2.22 to 1.57 and raised save percentage from .787 to
.840 in one week. She also leads the league in saves with
84.
