Sosa
earns Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the
Kangaroos to a 1-1 record last week, including a win over Centenary
to keep their postseason hopes alive. In a 5-2 loss at Missouri
State, he scored UMKC's first goal on a free kick in the 29th
minute. In the 3-0 shutout of Centenary, Sosa scored the
game-winner on his own rebound in the fifth minute. UMKC needs a
win or tie this week to qualify for The Summit League
Championship.

Duret
claims Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading Western
Illinois to a 1-1 record last week, including a 3-0 win over IPFW
to keep its tournament chances alive. In a 2-1 loss to No. 12
Northwestern, Duret scored
his first career goal, Western's only tally of the match. He
followed that up with a goal in the 42nd minute against IPFW to
help propel the Leathernecks to a victory. He was also part of a
Western Illinois defense that held the Mastodons scoreless and
limited the nationally-ranked Wildcats to 11 shots, including four
on goal.
