OU's Derick Nelson Named Player of the Week

Nelson
earns Player of the Week honors after averaging 20.0 points, 7.0
rebounds and 2.0 steals in a pair of wins last week. The junior
finished with a team-high 18 points to go with five rebounds, two
assists and two steals in a 67-53 win over Rochester College. He
followed that up with a game-high 22 points, including a
season-high 11 free throws, and nine rebounds in a 68-62 upset of
No. 23/21 Oregon last Saturday. The win was the Golden Grizzlies'
first over a Top 25 opponent since becoming a Division I
program.
