IUPUI's McGowan, OU's Solan Earn Swimming Weekly Awards

McGowan earns Athlete of the Week honors after winning three events at the IUPUI Quadrangular last week. In his first meet with the Jaguars, he set the school record in the 200 fly with a time of 1:54.94, the fourth-best time in The Summit League this season. He also won the 100 fly (52.13) and 200 IM (1:59.74), posting times that rank in the Top 10 all-time at IUPUI and rank fifth and eighth, respectively, in the league this season.

Solan claims Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after winning three individual events and placing second in a relay in a dual meet at Eastern Michigan last week. The sophomore won the 100 back (58.89), 200 back (2:05.70) and 200 IM (2:08.85). She also swam the first leg on the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:48.29).
