IUPUI's Sosa, WIU's Lennartsson Earn Weekly Awards

Sosa earns Athlete of the Week honors after defeating Northern
Illinois' Adam Ford 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 at the No. 3 singles position
last Sunday. He dropped a 1-6, 7-6, 0-1 (7-10) match to Marquette's
Niko Boulieris on Saturday. At No. 2 doubles, Sosa and partner E.J.
Dechow fell 8-2 to the Marquette duo of Trent Hagan and Dusan Medan
and 8-3 to the NIU pair of Jimmy Chu and Alex Friesen. Sosa was the
only IUPUI player to take a match in the Jaguars' season-opening
weekend.
WOMEN
Kim Lennartsson, Western Illinois
Jr., Kungsbacka, Sweden/Katrine Lund Gymnasium
Lennartsson receives Athlete of the Week honors after winning the
most games of any of the Westerwinds in a 7-0 loss to DePaul last
week. She fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles to DePaul's Gergana
Ganeva. At No. 1 doubles, Lennartsson and partner Amanda Griffin
fell 8-3 to the Blue Demons' Dunja Antunovic and Kirsten
Gambrell.
