IUPUI's McGowan, Centenary's Wyatt Claim Athlete of the Week Accolades

McGowan
claims the Male Athlete of the Week award after winning three
individual titles over the weekend. The junior from Vincennes, Ind.,
earned a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time
of 1:46.41 prior to claiming the title in the 200-yard butterfly
(2:00.62). McGowan's
league-best time of 1:59.45 earned him first place in the
individual medley as he led the Jaguars against Eastern
Illinois.

Wyatt
earns Female Athlete of the Week honors after she set a pair of
team records with first-place finishes in the 100 back (59.84) and
200 back (2:10.04). The
freshman from Austin, Texas, also placed first in the 200
individual medley with a season-best time of 2:11.88 and helped
pace the 200 free relay team to a first-place finish. Wyatt's
performance guided the Ladies to their second straight win this
season, as they topped Incarnate Word with 193 points.
