SDSU's Carter, IUPUI's Ni Named Athletes of the Week

MEN

Nick Carter, South Dakota State

Fr., Rogers, Ark./Rogers HS

Carter claims the Male Athlete of the Week award after setting a South Dakota State school record in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:43.95 for a first-place finish. The freshman from Rogers, Ark., also came in first in the 50 free (21.82) and the 200 back (1:57.77). Carter helped the Jacks earn a first-place finish in the 400 free relay with mark of 3:15.35.

WOMEN

Chen Ni, IUPUI

So., Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS

Ni earns Female Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after setting school records on both platforms (272.00 on 1-meter, 284.65 on 3-meter). Her score of 272.00 on the 1-meter dives was good for fourth place as was her mark of 285.65 on the 3-meter dives. Both of her scores lead The Summit League.
