NDSU's Knuth and IPFW's Hervey Earn Volleyball Player of the Week Accolades

OFFENSIVE

Chrissy Knuth, North Dakota State

Knuth claims her second player of the week award of the season after leading North Dakota State to a pair of road wins at Western Illinois and IUPUI that kept the Bison perfect in Summit League play. Against WIU, Knuth recorded a career and match high seven blocks while adding nine kills and three assists. The following night at IUPUI, she recorded a career and match best 26 kills while hitting .479, the fifth time this season that she has topped .400 in a match. For the week, Knuth hit .435 and averaged 5.0 kills per set.

Hervey earned her first player of the week honor this season after helping IPFW to sweeps of Oral Roberts and Centenary. Against ORU, Hervey totaled seven total blocks, including two solos and added three kills. Hervey matched her block total the following night with seven and added six kills, an assist and a dig in the match. Her individual match block totals equaled the seventh most blocks in a three-set match in school history. In addition, Hervey took over The Summit League lead in blocks per game in league matches this season.
