SDSU Sweeps Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week

MEN

Cade Roberts, South Dakota State

Roberts claims the Male Athlete of the Week award after recording a pair of first-place finishes at the University of South Dakota on Saturday. The senior won the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:07.58. His time of 2:29.78 was good for first in the 200-meter breaststroke. Roberts placed second in the 400-meter individual medley with a time of 4:46.59 and helped the SDSU relay team to a second-place finish in the 400-meter medley relay with a time of 3:59.57.

Budahl earns Female Athlete of the Week honors after setting the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke for the second time in as many meets. The junior won the 200 breast as she posted a time of 2:22.41, besting her previous school record of 2:23.02 set on Nov. 23. The Mitchell, S.D., native also won the 50-meter breaststroke (31.20) and placed second in the 400-meter medley relay (4:00.26).
