Ill. UMKC's Spencer Johnson earned The Summit League's
Player of the Week accolade after recording a pair of
double-doubles, extending his streak to five consecutive games, and
twice setting career highs for points. At Northwestern, Johnson
scored a career-high 22 points with a career-best 11 field goals on
18 attempts while also collecting 12 rebounds. Three nights later,
Johnson set a new career-high with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting,
including 3-for-5 from three-point range, and added 11 rebounds in
a win at Eastern Washington. The double-double at EWU was his fifth
straight, a feat that set a new school record and presently stands
as the longest active streak in the nation.
