Oakland's Unold and Solan Earn Athlete of the Week Accolades

MEN

Marcin Unold, Oakland

Jr., Gliwice, Poland/SMS Oswiecim HS

Unold claims the Male Athlete of the Week award after setting three meet records at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational. The junior's times in the 100 back (47.77) and 100 free (43.62) are NCAA "B" Cut times and both rank as second in the all-time top-10 list for those events. His time in the 100 free was also a meet and pool record. Unold claimed three individual titles in the 100 back, 100 free and 200 back (1:46.25) and helped OU win five relays. All of his finishes made entries into Oakland's top-10 lists and top The Summit League's top times.

WOMEN

Agnes Solan, Oakland

Jr., Pulway, Poland/Academy of Physical Education

Solan earns Female Athlete of the Week honors setting two meet records and a pair of Oakland school records over the weekend. The junior from Pulway, Poland, set records in the 100 and 200 back with times of 54.29 and 1:58.44, respectively. Solan made an NCAA "B" Cut in the 100 back with her impressive mark and took first place in both the 100 and 200 back. She helped the Golden Grizzlies to a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 free relay (1:35.08) and in the 400 relay (3:27.26). All of her times are Summit League bests.
