MEN

Chad Bergan, North Dakota State

Sr., Valley City, N.D./Valley City HS

Bergan captures the Male Athlete of the Week award after placing first in the 800-meter run at the Adidas Classic in Lincoln, Neb. His time of 1:51.73 beat out runners from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Drake and Kansas. Bergan's time is also first in The Summit League this season.

WOMEN

Laura Hermanson, North Dakota State

Jr., Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS

Hermanson collects her second Female Athlete of the Week honor this season after placing first in the 800-meter run at the Adidas Classic. She crossed the finish line in 2:10.25 and has now placed first both times she has run the event this season. Hermanson also ran the anchor leg for NDSU's 4x400-meter relay team, which placed fifth.
