Pipkin earns
Player of the Week honors after leading the Bison to a 4-1 record
and a second-place finish at the New Mexico State Hotel Encanto
Invitational last weekend. The sophomore was named to the
all-tournament team after going 10-of-18 (.556 batting average)
with two doubles, four RBI and three walks. She also boasted a .667
slugging percentage and a .619 on-base percentage, and was 3-for-3
in stolen bases. Pipkin had three multi-hit games, including a
2-for-2 performance with two runs scored, two RBI and three walks
in a win over Texas-Arlington.

Bakke receives
Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time in as many weeks
after posting a 4-1 record and being named to the all-tournament
team at the Hotel Encanto Invitational last weekend. She was NDSU's
pitcher of record in all five games, with three starts and two
complete games. She posted a 2.14 earned run average and held
opponents to a .286 batting average. In the two complete-game wins,
she allowed just one run. In an 8-1 win over New Mexico State, she
struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings of work. Against
Texas-Arlington, she threw 4.1 inning in relief, striking out
six.
