Lynch earns
Player of the Week honors after leading the Golden Grizzlies to a
sweep over UMKC in the opening weekend of Summit League action.
Lynch started a three-run rally in the sixth inning in game one,
hitting her first home run of the season as Oakland rallied to
defeat the Kangaroos, 3-2. She then connected on her second homer
of the day, going 2-for-3, with a double and two runs batted in, to
lead Oakland to a 12-2 win in the nightcap. On the week, Lynch went
3-for-6, with two home runs, two runs scored, one double, one walk
and three RBI. She hit .500, with a 1.667 slugging percentage and a
.571 on-base percentage.

Thacker
receives Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season
after going 3-0 last week. In a win over South Alabama, she pitched
two solid innings out of the bullpen, giving up just one hit while
striking out two. In the first game of the series against IUPUI,
she threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 11 batters. She
closed out the week with a win in the series finale vs. the
Jaguars, allowing one run on two hits in five innings of work. For
the week, Thacker posted a 0.54 earned run average with 16
strikeouts. The Ladies have now won 12 of their last 14 games, are
a perfect 7-0 at home this season and sit atop The Summit League
standings after the first week of league play.
