Mickelson earns
Player of the Week honors after batting .600 while slugging 1.300 and having an
on-base percentage of .733 last week. She opened the week 3-for-3
with two homers and four RBI in the first half of a doubleheader at
Dayton, becoming the first player in IPFW Division I history to hit
two home runs in a single game. The Flyers then intentionally
walked her three times in the nightcap. Her three-hit game against
Dayton was her third such game this season. She has a hit in 10 of
her last 12 games, and in 13-of-18 on the season. Mickelson is
currently batting .412 this year to lead the Mastodons.

Bakke receives
Pitcher of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after
going 2-0. She recorded her fourth shutout of the season and 19th
of career with a 7-0 win over UMKC in the first of two games
Saturday. It was her ninth career two-hitter and third of the
season. She followed that up with her seventh career one-hitter in
Sunday's 8-3 comeback win, allowing only a first inning two-out
single. The three runs were all unearned. Bakke recorded two
complete games and a 0.00 ERA. She struck out 17 and walked four in
14.0 innings pitched.
