ORU's Kotsuik, Costa Sweep Weekly Awards

Kotsuik earns Male Athlete of the Week honors after going 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles play at The Summit League Tennis Championship last weekend to lead the Golden Eagles to their second-straight title. He clinched the championship with a come-from-behind win over Western Illinois' Zach Frisch, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. The match was the deciding factor in the win. Kotsuik also claimed a singles win over UMKC's Serge Ristivojevic in the semifinals. At No. 1 doubles, he and partner Alex Dargel defeated WIU's Frisch and Neil Lesinski, 8-5, to secure the doubles point for the Golden Eagles.

Costa receives Athlete of the Week honors after going undefeated in both singles and doubles at The Summit League Tennis Championship last weekend to lead ORU to its second-straight title. At No. 5 singles, the sophomore beat Western Illinois' Kate Kennedy, 6-4, 6-2, and Southern Utah's Carmen Blanco, 6-0, 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, she paired with Hayden Rush to beat WIU's Kim Lennartsson and Yana Meinert, 8-3, and SUU's Martha Kruk and Emmi Nelson-Bulloch, 8-3.
