Schwedhelm collects Player of the Week honors after batting .357 in five games last week for SDSU. She belted two home runs, including a three-run shot in a 7-3 win over Centenary that put the game out of reach. She also had the walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 3-2 win over the Ladies. Schwedhelm went 5-for-14 at the plate with two homers, five RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base on the week.

Stacy Whitmer, Centenary

Whitmer receives the Pitcher of the Week award after collecting two wins for the Ladies last week. She notched a non-league win over Stephen F. Austin (1-0), pitching 5.0 innings, giving up only two hits and striking out eight. In a 6-5 win over South Dakota State, Whitmer gave up only two hits and two runs, while striking out seven in 5.0 innings of work. For the week, she had a 1.29 ERA and a total of 19 strikeouts, while the opposition hit just .158 against her.
